    Microgrid systems have proven to be the most efficient means to integrate and apply renewable technologies. This project examines the optimum functionality of a microgrid controller taking into consideration energy solutions. The main elements and framework of a microgrid is discussed followed by its energy management and SCADA system.

    climate change issues have resulted in the rapid adoption of renewable energy technologies. This project spans
    the design and installation of a stand alone Solar panel system, inverter, battery and charge controller for the department of electrical and electronics engineering at the University of Uyo, Nigeria.
