Earlier today, Omnicom announced that it will be the first holding company to integrate into the new Instacart Developer Platform (IDP), a publicly available API program that leverages Instacart's industry-leading online grocery platform to supercharge third-party digital experiences. Our Chief Experience Officer, Clarissa Season, noted: "This integration legitimizes influencers as a media channel even more because of the clarity it provides. Love this. However, one often overlooked aspect of brand positioning is the necessity of making trade-offs. Trade-offs mean embracing the fact that more of one thing often means less of another. Whether we're defining our target audience, allocating resources, or refining our offerings, being willing to make intentional trade-offs, with a clear understanding of why, is what ultimately sets apart a truly focused and effective strategy.

For as much energy as #advertisers and agencies have put into supply path optimization over the years, the #programmatic supply chain is still in need of cleaning up. See the recent examples of made-for-advertising sites, Forbes and Colossus calling into question ad buyers’ abilities to control what inventory they’re purchasing programmatically. Today, GRIT published their annual insights report. Three takeaways of note for insights leaders: 1/ Marketplaces are on the rise 📈 Marketplaces for talent, software, and technology are on the rise. Every insights leader I know has struggled at one time or another to find research talent, especially, moderators. At Studio, we are tackling this problem head on with our vetted talent marketplace of expert qual moderators across a range of focus areas. 2/ Communicating results is still hard 😬 Teams are opting for tools that make reporting insights easy. But across the ecosystem, data integration and time to insight is still a concern. There’s opportunity for consolidation, more cooperation across vendors, and new thinking on what qualitative storytelling looks like given buyer needs and realities. 3/ Sample quality is a priority 🕵️‍♀️ With rising fraud, more research leaders need to take steps to protect panel quality. Automation is a double edged sword, and we need to balance efficiency with effectiveness. While there’s lots of change to navigate right now, it’s also one of the most exciting times to be in market research. What was your main takeaway(s) from the GRIT report? #mrx
