Greystar Giving is a company-wide philanthropic effort. It was launched in 2010 with the challenge of raising $50,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. Greystar not only met that challenge, but has gone on to contribute $3.8 million to St. Jude. Greystar Giving is a company-wide philanthropic effort. It was launched in 2010 with the challenge of raising $50,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®. Greystar not only met that challenge, but has gone on to contribute $3.8 million to St. Jude. Additionally, Greystar team members have actively supported Camp Hope, a PTSD Foundation of America non-profit organization at a grassroots level since 2011. In 2014, we expanded Greystar Giving to formally include Camp Hope. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to 80% since opening more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90% in the next decade. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs they make, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Our men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering from PTSD in record numbers (one in two returning service members) and each sufferer impacts another 11 people closest to them. Divorce rates among Army and Marine combat veterans have increased by more than 50% in the last five years. Suicide is now the leading cause of non-combat related fatalities among active-duty personnel. Camp Hope offers a safe place where no one is judged and everyone is supported. Show less
