Fear prevented me from starting a company 10 years ago. Fear of allowing my career ambitions take priority over the needs of my unborn daughter. Fear of not being present as a father as she grew. 6 years later, the constraints of fear were transferred into deliberate preventative actions to ensure that never happens by integrating her into the startup of Tuatara Consulting, Inc., Taskforce Uplift and flipping the professional switch to “off” outside business hours. Present day, she’s my trusted sidekick, holds me accountable to being a better man, father, and leader. Her presence ensures that the “family first” mentality is interwoven into the cultural fabric of our company, and the business services we deliver. Honor to be called her Dad and I dedicate this day to her each year. Without her, my heart would have remained underdeveloped. Never let your fears decide your fate! Fore! a Great Cause ⛳ ✨   144 golfers swung into action to raise money for two incredible veterans support organizations—Caddie School for Soldiers, a caddie training school that helps veterans bond with fellow soldiers while they readjust to civilian life, and Taskforce Uplift, which provides resources to support the children and families of service members.   Hosted by the Kohler Alliance for Veterans and Supporters (KAVS) business resource group at our very own Blackwolf Run, the 2nd annual Veterans Alliance Charity Golf Outing raised more than $120K and brought together corporate sponsors, nonprofits, and the military community to help veterans live happier, healthier lives.   #Veterans #AltogetherKohler

Circle of life is a peculiar thing. We all do our best to honor our #military brothers and sisters we've lost on a daily basis, not just once a year on Memorial Day. Keeping their memories close to our hearts while being accountable to the act of remembering them, their families, and the ultimate sacrifice they made to protect the #freedom we all love. My method of honoring the sacrifice of my brothers is through efforts to create jobs for #veterans and the contribution of time and resources to the many #veterans, and veteran nonprofits in need. My hope is, through our actions, to make my fallen comrades and their #families #proud and ensure that the fire of life and the inspiration of their sacrifice burns bright so that we, the living, can proudly represent each of them in their physical absence.
