Schnitzer Properties' President and CEO, Jordan Schnitzer, helps establish the first endowed law school deanship in Oregon. Lewis & Clark Law School celebrated the historic deanship at a reception last week where Jennifer Johnson was appointed as the inaugural Jordan D. Schnitzer Dean. Jordan D. Schnitzer, a Lewis & Clark alum (Class of 1976), renowned commercial real estate magnate, philanthropist, and art collector, has generously endowed this position with a multi-million-dollar gift. His vision is to empower the dean to foster innovative programs that achieve national recognition for excellence. “We are deeply grateful to Jordan. With this endowment of the dean’s position, our first in the history of the law school, he has established a permanent legacy that will propel Lewis & Clark in its continued efforts to attract and retain qualified leaders of our law school. I am proud to be the inaugural Jordan D. Schnitzer Dean,” said Jordan D. Schnitzer Dean Jennifer Johnson. As President and CEO of Schnitzer Properties, Jordan Schnitzer has led our company to become one of the West Coast’s Top 10 private real estate owners, managing over 33 million square feet across various regions. Celebrating the remarkable career of Rob Aigner, who retired earlier this year after 18 incredible years at Schnitzer Properties! Last week, a party honored Rob’s immense contributions to our Seattle region. Starting his journey as a runner at Coldwell Banker, Rob’s career soared to great heights as he became a pivotal figure in Seattle’s real estate landscape. His leadership at CBRE and Colliers International set the stage for an exceptional tenure with us at Schnitzer Properties. Under Rob’s guidance, our Seattle region flourished, expanding both in size and impact. Beyond the bricks and mortar, his legacy lives on through the countless team members he mentored and inspired. His dedication to excellence and his deep-rooted commitment to the industry have left an indelible mark on all of us. Reflecting on his journey, Rob shared, “After 24 amazing years in the brokerage management business, I received a call in 2006 from Jordan Schnitzer asking if I would consider coming to work for him, running his Seattle operations. Although I didn’t realize it at the time, it was a phone call that would change my life. After weighing the options, I elected to jump into the world of family-owned private real estate ownership and I have never looked back. The unique opportunity that Jordan presented gave me a chance to reignite my passion for the nuts and bolts of the business. It put me in touch with the heart and soul of the industry—property management—and gave me an appreciation for the complexities and opportunities of dealing with a multi-tenant portfolio.I found myself on a team surrounded by all-stars dedicated to one purpose: always doing what was best for the real estate. It was creative, exciting, and empowering. It brought into sharp focus the importance of tenant-landlord relationships and the ever-changing balancing act between the two. As I look back over the last 18 years, I am proud of all the accomplishments in the Seattle region, but most appreciative of the individuals I had the pleasure of working with. I will miss the relationships and daily interactions with my extraordinary team, but I am gratified to know that the friendships forged along the way will be everlasting.” Rob, your leadership, wisdom, and the relationships you’ve built are invaluable to us. While you may be stepping into retirement, your presence and influence will continue to inspire us. Here’s to your well-deserved future filled with happiness and new adventures! #SchnitzerProperties #CommercialRealEstate #CompanyCulture #RetirementCelebration #SeattleRealEstate #Seattle #SeattleCRE #CRE #WestCoastCRE

Reflecting on the joys of giving back after National Volunteer Month! During #NationalVolunteerMonth, Schnitzer Properties’ wellness program, ‘Swell,’ rallied its teams across different regions to support communities in need. From Seattle to the East Bay, our teams demonstrated their dedication to community wellbeing through impactful volunteer efforts. In Seattle, our Swell team joined forces at Northwest Harvest's SODO Community Market. This space, known for its inclusive approach, provides fresh produce and essentials to those facing food insecurity, without any requirements. Our Seattle team enthusiastically pitched in by unboxing produce, distributing donations, and assisting at the check-out counters. It was a heartwarming display of solidarity that truly made a difference. Meanwhile, in the East Bay, California region, our team embarked on a mission to support Kids Against Hunger in Pleasanton. Together, they packed an impressive 7,776 nutrient-dense meals bound for Ukraine. Each pouch they prepared is capable of feeding up to six people for a day. The collective effort demonstrated the impact we can make when we come together with compassion and determination. These volunteer initiatives not only strengthen our bonds as a team but also remind us of the power of kindness and community support. Even after National Volunteer Month, it is part of our mission to continue spreading goodwill and making a positive difference wherever we can.

Schnitzer Properties is forging commercial real estate connections across our West Coast regions! Our Arizona team recently partnered with Real Estate & Allied Professionals (REAP) for a panel discussion on the latest development projects in Southern Arizona.   Steven Nemer, AVP of Leasing & Development at Schnitzer Properties, is also a member of REAP’s Executive Committee. He had the incredible opportunity to help organize the panel discussion and invited Vice President and Regional Manager, Cooper Sutherland, to serve as the moderator. "After attending various commercial real estate groups in Tucson, REAP’s development focus made it the perfect fit for Schnitzer Properties. I’m thrilled to contribute to this outstanding organization and look forward to expanding our network further. Cooper did a phenomenal job moderating the panel, and we’re both excited about strengthening our relationship with REAP,” said Nemer. REAP has been a cornerstone in Tucson’s CRE scene for over 25 years, uniting top real estate professionals to share ideas, achieve their goals, and engage in impactful philanthropy. Their mission to connect members with industry leaders and experts through exclusive networking and discussions truly sets them apart. Cooper Sutherland & Steven Nemer

Portland-based Fox 12 News interviewed Schnitzer Properties’ President, Jordan Schnitzer, about Nathan Vasquez’ nationally significant election victory to become the Portland area’s next District Attorney. "What this is showing is that people are tired of the grab-and-go. They're tired of being scared to go downtown. They're tired of the homeless problems. And there are solutions, but we need a DA that will work with the police, that will work with the business community, that will work with social service agencies," Schnitzer said. "Nathan will be a compassionate, dedicated leader in the DA's office." #Portland #BusinessLeader #MultnomahCounty #PortlandBusinessCommunity
