Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2024 was an amazing week where we showed the power of #MWTogether. The week was full of incredible wins, the result of months of hard work and collaboration with our clients and across our network. There were so many moments of immense pride. Our screening of “The Final Copy of Ilon Specht,” which we created in partnership with L'Oréal Paris, TRAVERSE32 – directed by the brilliant Ben Proudfoot of Breakwater Studios, that celebrates the extraordinary story of courage, creativity and conviction of the life of Ilon Specht the talent behind L’Oréal Paris’ iconic tagline, “Because I’m Worth It,” counts among those moments. Thank you to everyone across our global network for you talent, drive, tenacity and creativity. Thank you to our clients. We're delighted that McCann has been named as the most successful UK agency at turning its Cannes Lions nominations into gold or Grand Prix awards, topping several categories this year. Although UK agencies overall were awarded 37% fewer golds or Grands Prix compared with 2023, as Polly McMorrow, chief executive at McCann London, reflected: “This year we witnessed never-seen-before wins from countries such as Iceland who won their first ever Lion for Olgerdin and Kazakhstan who won their first gold, for a powerful domestic violence campaign."
