The Housing Studio team recently ventured out of the office to explore New Urbanism in Pittsburgh. This design movement focuses on creating environmentally friendly, walkable neighborhoods and tackling issues from post-WWII urban sprawl. Visiting developments like the Summerset at Frick Park and Heritage Highlands to see how these principles—like pedestrian-friendly design, accessible public transit, green spaces, and local architecture—can shape both market-rate and affordable housing. Big shoutout to Gary Atcheson, our office MVP last week. He hosted not one, but TWO fantastic in-office events. First, he led another super informative Lunch'n Learn, this time about UL Assemblies. Then, he organized an inspiring design charette for his church. Thanks, Gary, for your dedication and for keeping our office an engaging place to work! #LGAculture #OfficeMVP #WorkplaceHero

It was a fun trip to the windy city for Stephanie Nepali and Izzie Petti who attended the 2024 Retail Innovation Conference & Expo earlier this week. Dedicated to providing an opportunity for everyone in the retail industry to come together full of networking events, interactive learning experiences, and discussing the future of retail design. Plus the chance to connect with fixture vendors showcasing innovative, easily movable stock shelving, a staple in our retail projects. Meeting with Simpson Print was a highlight, their booth immersed you in environments like "Alice in Wonderland" which allowed them to see products in action and the benefits to them in the retail market. #LGAretail #retaildesign #RICE24 #retailnetworking #retailmarket
