We are thrilled to have Populus featured in the May/June issue of Luxe Interiors + Design “The beauty of nature is that there’s so much going on around you all at once, and yet there is tranquility,” Wildman says. “The interiors’ subtleness within the multitude of layers aims to mimic these feelings of interest, strength and softness.” Check out the article in the link below: https://lnkd.in/esVDHK2f

We are pleased to announce that Populus joined 5 other notable projects in Hospitality Design sustainability trends outlook for 2024! Managed by the Aparium Hotel Group, a pioneer in the lifestyle hotel industry, Populus is designed to celebrate nature, and pay homage to the Mountain West. The hotel joins another of real estate developer and environmental steward, Urban Villages projects on this list and has been a pleasure for our team to work on as Interior Designer alongside Architecture firm Studio Gang and in partnership with Fowler + Fowler Architecture, D.P.C. Set to become the first carbon-positive hotel in the United States, follow the link below to learn more about this project as well as the four other projects destined to set the tone for sustainability in the hospitality industry in 2024. https://lnkd.in/eekeK3m2

303 Magazine highlighted the unique beauty of the biophilic interiors designed by Wildman Chalmers Design in partnership with Fowler + Fowler Architecture, D.P.C. in their February 5th article “New Downtown Denver Hotel Designs Mimic Colorado’s Natural Surroundings.” Located in Denver, Colorado, Populus' interior design is about complementing the iconic architecture and building on its Aspen tree inspiration. As Heather Wildman, Principal and Design Director at Wildman Chalmers Design noted the project leans into this “by taking cues from nature and partnering with local artisans, we hope to create a strong connection between the design of Populus and the earth and its surroundings. The result will be a hospitality experience that’s warm, welcoming, and uniquely Colorado.” Heather Wildman, alongside Associate Principal Elizabeth Usnik and team, were thrilled to design interiors that celebrate nature and pay homage to the Mountain West while complementing Populus’ distinctive Aspen tree-inspired architecture by Studio Gang. Developed by Urban Villages and managed by Aparium Hotel Group, the interiors were designed in partnership with Fowler + Fowler Architecture. Step Inside America’s first carbon-positive hotel – Populus. Wildman Chalmers Design was honored to join Developer Urban Villages and the Architect’s at Studio Gang to design the interiors in partnership with Fowler + Fowler Architecture, D.P.C. Populus, a 265-room hotel in downtown Denver set to be managed by Aparium Hotel Group, has been designed to celebrate nature and pay homage to the Mountain West. The hotel will include a ground-floor restaurant, flexible event spaces, a coffee bar, and a signature rooftop bar and restaurant offering unobstructed views of the mountains, city skyline, and Civic Center Park. Influenced by Studio Gang’s inspired architectural design, which takes its cues from the Aspen tree, “We approached Populus’ design vision from an experience standpoint first – thoughtfully curating colors, textures, and shapes that not only look beautiful but appeal to all of the senses and emotions, just as a walk through the forest would,” said Heather Wildman, Principal and Design Director of Wildman Chalmers Design. Click the link below for a deep dive into the design concept and a sneak peek of the first rendered views of the interior spaces. https://lnkd.in/eQn7-pju
