This year was my second year joining the Institute for Educational Leadership Conference for Community Schools . I was able to present last year, this year I had the honor of watching my colleagues present and do an amazing job ! When you are a Community Schools Coordinator you typically come with a lot of passion ! It was incredible to watch my team in action with no one leaving their room ! It was so inspiring to meet people from all over and come together to help our students build community. I am honored to work for Community Schools and I cannot wait to see what is next . I also want to thank my GCM team from Cora for repersenting at the conference! They came to our sessions and truly supported .

Thanks Institute for Educational Leadership for making the event truly memorable. I had a great time in Atlanta with camaraderie among new friends and the new networking opportunities that I have created. See you next year in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Thanks Mary Kingston Roche for inviting me to speak to the Institute for Educational Leadership Educational Policy Fellowship Program this past week. I had a great time talking to federal and state officials and others about how journalists try to tell stories and how we measure our impact! And of course I was delighted to highlight the cameo Chalkbeat made recently on "Abbott Elementary."

Congratulations to our 46 grantees!! I feel deeply honored to lead our program and grantmaking efforts and be in partnership with so many values-driven and committed leaders across the country. Immensely grateful to my colleagues at National Basketball Association (NBA) for the team effort to ensure that these spectacular non-profit organizations are supported, celebrated and uplifted!
