More good news coming out of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.   We at the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) welcome CMS’s announcement about recalculating 2024 Star Ratings for Medicare Advantage plans. This adjustment addresses our concerns regarding the Tukey outlier deletion methodology, which disproportionately lowered some Dual-eligible Special Needs Plans' (D-SNPs) Star Ratings and, in turn, their ability to deliver optimal care to their enrollees. While pleased with this revision, we recognize the need for a more long-term solution for accurate and equitable Star Ratings. ACAP remains committed to working with CMS to achieve this goal.
