It’s exciting to see the very strong commitment to maternal health of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure. CMS’s work has led to tangible changes for families nationwide. Forty-six states have expanded Medicaid coverage to 12 months postpartum so far, meaning thousands of people now have access to affordable coverage in the critical year after birth.
