Neetu Garcha, Project Lead, Grid Innovation at the Alectra GRE&T Centre, will be moderating a panel discussion on “Enhancing the User Experience for Accelerated EV Adoption” at the 2024 EV ChargeUp Conference on July 10.   The session will focus on strategic plans aimed at empowering the industry, featuring insights on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology and smart charging. Averyl D., Kapithaan Pathmanathan and Ibikunle Olatunji, CFA from the Alectra GRE&T Centre spent last Saturday morning at the Burnhamthorpe Community Centre, engaging with the community as part of Alectra's initiative to support City of Mississauga's vision for the electrification of transportation. Community Electric Vehicle Day provided a great opportunity for EV enthusiasts to explore some of the city’s electric fleet vehicles, participate in micromobility demonstrations, and discover actionable steps to make Mississauga more sustainable and resilient to climate change. This year's theme, "Getting to 2050: AI Enabler or Detractor?", promises insightful discussions on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the energy sector. Geri Yin, Head of Grid Innovation at Alectra GRE&T Centre, will be discussing key issues in various meetings as Vice Chair of the NER. Adam Epstein, Technical Manager, Advanced Planning at the Alectra GRE&T Centre, who has been helping implement Alectra’s AI initiatives will be joining a distinguished panel to discuss "The Impact of AI on Utilities: How are utilities approaching AI for grid modernization and optimization." In recognition of #WorldBeeDay (May 20), we are proud to highlight our ongoing efforts to support a healthy ecosystem. Alectra's Guelph Southgate office features a thriving pollinator garden, attracting bees and other vital pollinators throughout the spring and summer. This is one of three pollinator gardens across Alectra facilities, with more planned. Our commitment to sustainability runs deep. Last year, the Southgate building, home to the Alectra GRE&T Centre earned Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) status from the CAGBC | Canada Green Building Council.
