Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has received an order for 64 units of 72.5kV Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear for Vestas' new V236-15.0MW offshore wind turbine in March 2024. The 15MW wind turbine is Vestas' largest capacity turbine, and these newly ordered units will be used in a project that marks the world's first commercial operation of a 15MW wind turbine. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has attended Vestas Supplier Day Event at the Residence of the Danish Ambassador in Tokyo on July 3, 2024 and expressed excitement and gratitude to support Vestas on such privileged project. The Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear is one of our core products for offshore wind power generation. Since 2016, Mitsubishi Electric has been providing Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear specifically designed for offshore wind turbines. The vacuum interrupter for the circuit breaker, a key component, is an in-house product with over 50 years of manufacturing experience, and its reliability and technical capabilities have been highly evaluated. As the development of renewable energy is rapidly progressing, offshore wind power generation is attracting attention as the most efficient energy source. Through the provision of Cubicle-type Gas Insulated Switchgear for offshore wind power generation, Mitsubishi Electric contributes to the further spread of renewable energy, leading to the sustainable development of society and preservation of the global environment. #MitsubishiElectric #ChangesfortheBetter

【Announcement】 Mitsubishi Electric announced today that, in cooperation with system integrator Glory Technology Service Inc. and Taiwan’s leading telecommunications company Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., it has supplied Taiwan Power Company with a headend system as the central point for managing and controlling smart meters, and also communication modules to be embedded into the smart meters and data concentrator units. 【Announcement】 Mitsubishi Electric announced today that a team of three data scientists, Yuya Shintani, Kento Okumura and Shoma Fukuhara from the Mitsubishi Electric DX Innovation Center, won a gold medal in the Home Credit - Credit Risk Model Stability competition hosted by Google LLC subsidiary Kaggle INC., the world's largest AI competition platform. In addition, Messrs. Shintani and Okumura were each awarded the title of Kaggle Competition Master for cumulatively winning one gold medal and two silver medals each in Kaggle competitions.
