As part of our global efforts to drive social impact and work with local suppliers in our supply chain, we have leveraged our partnership with Foodbuy, a Group Purchasing Organisation, to gain access to suppliers that make a difference by supporting indigenous communities in Australia. IHG’s spend to date with stationery supplier Muru, has supported its social enterprise partner, a native nursery, focusing on youth employment and the protection of endangered species by contributing to the employment of two full-time staff.
“We are proud that our great partnership with Foodbuy enables us to access national benefits programmes like Muru, which makes a difference by supporting indigenous communities.” Matt Tripolone, Managing Director, IHG Hotels & Resorts Australasia & Pacific.
