Part trFrom South America to Australia, Vietnam to India, and so many more countries; Charles Wheelan takes us on a travel adventure with his family. Part travelogue and part memoir, Wheelan describes how him and his family are able to leave behind real life and travel for about 9 months at a time. He explains how he’s able to do so and even though it sounds so impossible, he makes it sound so easy! I love hearing about people’s experiences so I was intrigued how they made their travel plans and where they went. I even wrote down some places I’d want to go once travel is safe (ie: Rotorua, New Zeland famous for it’s hot springs).
Wheelan also offers insight on how him and his wife navigated these travels with three teenagers. He talks about how they managed to balance homeschooling and dealing with general parenthood challenges overseas. From normal family fights to flesh eating bacteria and exploding penis’ - this book covers it all. There is even a part where they are teaching their son CJ what consent means. I will admit that the home schooling parts bored me but I feel like parents would find the information useful or interesting. I do love that they took their kids traveling at such a young age and have such a passion for it as a family.

I love that each state includes a landmark to visit and what to do there. There are also fun facts about the wild life, history, nature, and events. This book would be great for not only kids but adults as well. I think this would be much more enjoyable in its physical form as I received a digital copy. This book gives great ideas and can help keep children and adults still dreaming.

I thought this was still cute and there was still some things that annoyed me about this one but this was way better than Love & Luck however, nether of them could come close to Love & Gelato. I loved that one so much and the rest of the series was pretty disappointing in comparison. I do love the setting of this one, I'm ready to go to Greece now....more

I loved the fun travel aspect to it especially because I was reading this on the plane. As for the plot itself, I found it immensely cheesy and dramatic. Poppy and Alex are cute, I liked their backstory and how their romance progresses but I couldn’t get past the cheesiness. I still liked it and it’s a cute read that is perfect for the summer! I also really liked the ending and the discoveries Poppy made about herself. I will still read Henry's futures novels but I hope her next one will be as good as her first novel.

Mia goes to Paris for an elite ballet program that takes place over the summer for six weeks. She is very passionate over ballet and works super hard to become a professional ballet. In between exploring Paris and ballet, Mia meets Louis and a cute romance blooms between them. This book gives huge Love & Gelato vibes and it’s so fun. I do feel like our main character is a little immature and young which is kind of what stopped me from loving it. Also, Louis had about no personality in my opinion and Mia literally just likes him because he’s cute.
Aside from that, this book made me so nostalgic - Mia the main character explores the streets of Paris alone and makes friends with strangers which is exactly what I did on my own trip. I felt transported right back in Paris. There were so many similarities for me and the book and I really loved that personally. I look forward to more books from this author.
