Looking across to the Donegal mountains.

After shooting the Lehigh Valley H-unit at CP 289 the next move behind it on main 2 was this 66Z with the PC Heritage unit. After shooting that also at 289 I scooted across the river while they crew changed at the pad for a shot of the PC led 66Z crossing the Maumee river on what once was a busy PC mainline. With this shot I now have all three of the "most appropriate" H-units on this bridge (NYC, PC & Conrail). A certain sun & H-unit seeking friend from Cleveland and a cohort of mine from Toledo both have the more nosey composition of this train here. The peeling paint on the unit almost seems appropriate for the heritage unit it is. Toledo, OH 4/10/18

The end of a breathtaking but only six hours long day on the Lofoten in Norway. The sun is set behind the mountains and now sending its last light to the clouds and some of the peaks.

Das Ende eines atemberaubenden, jedoch nur sechs Stunden andauernden Tages auf den Lofoten in Norwegen. Die Sonne ist hinter den Bergen versunken und sendet ihr letztes Glühen an die Wolken und die Gipfel.

The tulip season is becoming to an end. The flowers are gone and the plants wil die. They arent beautiful fresh green anymore. But then the work starts for the farmer. The farmer gets the bulbs out of the ground for processing.

Another Spanish plume headed north over the UK this evening (22/08/2015) triggering many intense thunderstorms nationwide. I was lucky enough to witness the most amazing lightning display I've seen in many years coupled with thunder that you could feel in your chest! What an evening!
