A lovely dash of colour in a damp February garden.

Managed half an hour in the park got soaked twice so home for a mug of tea I did find some purple and green.

Mixed coloured paints in a splodgy pattern ..

I wanted to show a refreshing picture this morning, so I imagined a walk to the waterfalls near Glynneath. The dappled shade of the woodland and the sound of the cascades and riffles always have a calming effect. I probably miss the waterfalls and mountains almost as much as the coast, but it's lovely to know they'll still be there waiting, and the wildlife will be having a beautiful peaceful spring. Colour my world is a beautiful song by Chicago.

I listened to this little titmouse sing for a long time today. Such a happy bird. As I listened closely, I was sure I heard Chicago's 1970 song:

"Colour My World."

As time goes on,

I realize

Just what you mean

To me

And now,

Now that you're near,

Promise your love

That I've waited to share

And dreams

Of our moments together

Color my world with hope of loving you.

During my sad moments I think it’s the end of the world, I think the end of the day will never come. But when I think of you, you color my world. ~Weds Kenya

The playful balconies of the Solara condos add a contemporary presence to an otherwise aged Keele and Rogers neighbourhood. Designed by Arsenault Architects Inc construction was completed in 2005.

Colour re-edit of a shot from April 2018. Wishing you all a fantastic long weekend of photography - stay safe and keep the shutters clicking!

Смотрю зимой на фотографию и мне кажется, что вся эта роскошь осени была декорацией. Декорацию убрали, а за ней зимний пустырь.

Drove past this scene yesterday in bright sunshine with a blue sky and the big Horse Chestnut stood out so well , however , got back there with a camera and no car to grab a shot and today is right grimsel & grey with everything looking well flat . Idea ! I have the little TZ60 with me so take a shot with that and it will let me do a colour pop on all of the brown/copper coloured leaves leaving an otherwise B&W shot behind .

Previously unpublished shot from October 2019. It's not often you see purple hair. Enjoy!

Taken in the Bo-Kaap - previously known as the Malay Quarter. The Bo-Kaap is an historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town, South Africa.
