Loved visiting Matsumoto. Wonderful town and a beautiful castle. Enjoyed spending the evening getting some shots of it as the sun set and the castle became illuminated.

Hans Hollein (b. March 30, 1934 in Vienna; † April 24, 2014 ibid.) was an Austrian architect and designer, sculptor, object artist, exhibition designer, architectural theorist and key figure of postmodern architecture. He belonged to the Viennese avant-garde. I do have dozens of architecture photos of his buildings in my account.

C'est en 1535 que le khan cheïbanide Ubaidullah vendit quelque 3000 esclaves perses pour construire cette médersa face à la mosquée Kalon.
Il confia le chantier à son ami et conseiller spirituel le cheikh Abdullah du Yémen, Mir-i-Arab, ou «prince des Arabes», et c'est aux pieds de celui-ci qu'il fut inhumé sous la coupole de la darskhana, du côté nord de la médersa."

A beautiful night for a stroll along the river until you stopped moving. I set up my tripod and shot about 7 frames and had to give up due to all the mosquitos. Seriously, if you stood still too long, you would get covered with them. It was ridiculous. At least I got this shot.
