Prince Harry's Hollywood relaunch and why it's 'crumbling'

A royal expert has criticised Prince Harry over his attempt at a Hollywood relaunch following his move to the US in 2020.

Prince Harry was brutally savaged by a royal expert who claimed his Hollywood relaunch is "crumbling" as people have not forgotten about his "brutal attacks" against the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex sparked huge backlash after it was announced last month that he will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service for his Invictus Games work this Thursday in LA.

A petition was even set up with tens of thousands of signatures urging the organisers, TV network ESPN, to rethink their decision over Harry's nomination at the ESPY Awards (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) - named after former NFL player and US Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2004.

Now royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the duke must be feeling "very embarrassed" after the backlash and added that his Hollywood relaunch in the US was a move which is "basically crumbling" as the initial media buzz was not a success but it was "just at the moment".

He told the Sun:" I think it must be a very considerable blow to Prince Harry that his fact that he's getting the Pat Tillman award on [Thursday] has caused such fury. [...] He must be personally, feeling very, very embarrassed about this. [...] Facts of the matter are that people haven't forgotten this and have not forgotten what were brutal attacks. [...] Harry should realise from this that people are not just looking at what he wants them to look at. They are looking at his record as a human being and his links with his own family."

Wimbledon’s back-up plan revealed if Princess Kate fails to attend

The Wimbledon finals this weekend are fast approaching and with the Princess of Wales's appearance still up in the air, the tournament organisers have a backup plan in hand.

It's understood a decision will be made on the day as to whether Princess Kate will attend - and should the royal be unable to go, a plan B will be orchestrated, reports say.

Princess Kate, as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, has presented the Wimbledon trophies, a significant moment of the tennis championship, for the last eight years. But this year is different as she undergoes treatment for cancer.

It is understood that Kate's appearances will take place as and when she feels able to do so, in accordance with her medical team's advice, thus, her attendance this weekend remains uncertain.

But now a backup plan has emerged which will see another beloved member of the Royal Family take her place in presenting the trophies.

Prince Harry set for surprise boost as expert reveals Duke will get controversial award

Prince Harry has been receiving “do-gooder” awards and while his ESPY nomination is stirring up controversy, it may result in a boost, according to a royal expert.

Harry is scheduled to receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service on July 11 at ESPN’s ESPY Awards, but there are some saying he doesn’t deserve it, including the late veteran’s mother Mary Tillman.

Jane Barr talks about the turn of events in her From Berkshire to Buckingham Palace newsletter, writing: “I can see Mrs. Tillman’s point. The Invictus Games were, as discussed in these pages, created by the British government for a then-senior royal.”

Prince William's tough approach to Prince Harry problem likened to this very strict royal

Prince William has "stepped into the Prince Philip role" and is now "calling the shots" within the Royal Family, a source has claimed.

The Prince of Wales is said to have taken the lead role when it comes to family discipline, as it collapsed after the death of the late Duke of Edinburgh.

According to a source, Philip used to "rule" the Firm with a "rod of iron", however now it is William who controls most of the family's issues as the royals deal with several crises, including one of the biggest ones, Prince Harry's feud.

Prince Harry needs the Royal Family more than ever for one key reason

EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are all over the place, "going in so many different directions," and if they don’t get it together, they may find themselves “grovelling their way back to the Royal Family,” says one royal insider.

The Sussexes relocated to the US in 2020 in pursuit of entertainment careers, but it’s not quite working out, with their “tell-all tour” being a complete disaster, followed by their Spotify deal falling through, and now they’re on the cusp of a “make or break” moment with Netflix.

To Di For Daily’s Kinsey Schofield spoke to Daily Express US about their track record in the US: “Harry and Meghan already have a rocky reputation when it comes to their business dealings in the states.”

Prince Harry given brutal eight-word warning over award by ex-Navy chief

Prince Harry was blasted by a former Royal Navy chief over his nomination for the prestigious Pat Tillman Award for Service which will take place at a glitzy awards ceremony in the US this month.

It was announced in June that the Duke of Sussex will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service at this year's ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on July 11. It will be hosted by his wife, Meghan Markle's friend, tennis star Serena Williams.

But the news sparked backlash worldwide, with a petition being set up urging the awards organisers to rethink their decision and even Tillman's mother, Mary, saying to the Mail she's "shocked" over Harry's nomination when there "are recipients that are far more fitting".

Now Admiral Lord Alan West, who was First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff from 2002 to 2006, lashed out at the royal and gave him an eight-word warning regarding his nomination.

Prince William's hilarious reaction decoded by expert as royal's 'raw emotion' laid bare

The Prince of Wales displayed "rare raw emotion" which made him seem "relatable" and "trustworthy", a body language expert has revealed. Prince William displayed the jubilant fist-pump at his latest appearance at the UEFA Euro 2024 quarter-final match on Saturday night.

Prince William sparked a fan frenzy with his reactions and celebrations during the nail-biting match, which saw England beat Switzerland on penalties and progress to the semi-finals.

Now a body language expert analysed the royal's reactions and claimed William showed he had the ability to be "open and honest" with every emotion he was feeling.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, expert Darren Stanton said: "It’s no secret that Prince William is highly competitive and his emotions were captured perfectly throughout watching the Euros match. When we saw him cheering away in the crowd, it showed a lot of people that he is just like any other football fan in the stadium. It was his time to enjoy himself."

Royal Family will breathe 'sigh of relief' after Meghan Markle's latest move

Meghan Markle's apparent decision to put her focus into the launch of her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard will bring a "sigh of relief" to the Royal Family, a commentator claims.

Emma Clifton, a writer for Australian Women's Weekly, said the Duchess' efforts in the venture bodes well for The Firm.

"Considering how much anticipation there was for Meghan's supposed 'tell-all-novel', her pivot into domestic goddess should surely mean there are a few sighs of relief around the palace...for now," she said.

Meghan Markle blasted for 'holding Harry back' from causes that don't make them money

Meghan Markle was slammed by a royal commentator who claimed she now holds Prince Harry back from supporting causes he cares about - but don't bring them money.

The comments came after the Prince of Wales was praised for his ambitious initiative on homelessness through his Royal Foundation named Homewards. He is set to appear in a new documentary titled Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, which will go behind the scenes of the first year of the programme.

Now the heir to the throne's latest project was compared to the ones made for Netflix by the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex on GB News by presenters Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster who were joined by royal biographer Angela Levin.

Two rarely-seen royals attend Wimbledon today as fans eagerly await Princess Kate news

The Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent represented the Royal Family on day eight of the Wimbledon tournament in London.

As the Princess of Wales's attendance at the tennis championships this weekend still remains unconfirmed, Brigitte was seen smiling and chatting to All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club chairwoman Debbie Jevans.

Words were exchanged during the ladies' singles fourth round match between Elena Rybakina and Anna Kalinskaya on her 52nd wedding anniversary. The duchess, who is married to the late Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Prince Richard, has been an Honorary President of the Lawn Tennis Association for 25 years.

King Charles refuses to compete with Meghan Markle for one key reason

A royal expert has explained that King Charles will not rise to the idea of a competition with Meghan Markle over their new products as it is "beneath" him.

Earlier this year Meghan launched her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard (ARO), which is set to stock a range of items from food and kitchenware to pet food and alcoholic beverages.

King Charles's beloved Highgrove home, in Gloucestershire, has also sold organic produce such as jam and honey for a number of years.

With Meghan's ARO launching strawberry jam as its first product, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has refuted any claims that there could be a clash between the two.

The unlikely royal to step in for Princess Kate if she can’t attend Wimbledon finals

Princess Kate's possible replacement to present the winner's trophies at Wimbledon has been revealed, and it's someone many royal fans might not recognise.

As patron of the All England Club the Princess of Wales has presented trophies to the tennis champions since 2016, but her ongoing cancer treatment has raised questions over whether she will feel well enough to do so this weekend.

Kate has only made one public appearance so far this year, at Trooping the Colour last month, but if she is unavailable the Duchess of Gloucester is being lined up to present the awards, according to The Telegraph.

Princess Charlotte and Louis 'could live in Shoreditch flat' in slimmed-down monarchy

Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte could be ‘renting a flat in Shoreditch’ as royals may look at moving away from palaces in the future, an author has claimed.

Kate Williams, believes the family’s 30 residences could be further opened to the public to provide funds for the royal collection.

Williams says historically, Queens have been more favourable of palaces, while Kings have tended to see them as “stages for brilliance”.

Queen Elizabeth II was known to be fond of both Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, and Sandringham in Norfolk. But her absolute favourite was said to be the Balmoral Estate in Scotland.

Princess Anne's unusual nickname for King Charles shows just how close they are

Princess Anne has been using a rather unusual nickname to refer to King Charles, one which highlights how "close" they are.

Royal Family members are known to bestow upon each other special monikers, from Prince William calling Princess Charlotte "mignonette" to the late Queen Elizabeth II's well-known nickname Lilibet.

The Princess Royal seems to be following royal tradition, adopting a special name to refer to her eldest brother – and it's just as adorable.

The monicker was revealed in the BBC documentary Charles III: The Coronation Year, which detailed Charles's first year on the phone up to his Coronation in May 2023.

Sweet moment King Charles roars with laughter as he learns how to do a fist bump

King Charles has practiced his new greetings with the West Indies cricket team at Buckingham Palace ahead of their first Test match against England at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

Inviting the whole team to the Palace, the King, 75, was promptly taught how to first bump by two brothers called up for the Windies, Mikyle and Jeremiah Louis, as laughter erupted after his attempt.

Meghan Markle 'ready to make peace with Princess Kate' as popularity plummets

Meghan Markle wants to "make peace" with Princess Kate as she has some "regrets" over how things played out between them, according to a source.

Ever since the Duchess married Prince Harry, there have seemingly been tensions between the pair, especially when it was alleged that Meghan had made Kate cry in a row over bridesmaids' dresses before her 2018 wedding.

However it was later clarified that it was in fact Meghan who had been crying and Kate subsequently sent flowers to apologise, yet it appears they did little to affirm the friendship between the two women.

The royal wives have now not seen each other since September 2022, when Harry and Meghan travelled over to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral.

Meghan Markle's turmoil laid bare by expert as 'life not going as planned'

Meghan Markle is growing "increasingly concerned" that her life is "not going in the direction she had planned", a royal expert has claimed, amid public ambivalence about her new projects.

Since stepping down as a senior working member of the Royal Family in 2020, Meghan Markle has tried her hand at a number of projects with varying degrees of success.

Royal Author, Tom Quinn, told the Mirror: "There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned."

He added: "She loves media attention and hates the fact that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public."

Prince Harry 'stunned' as backlash against award nomination sees mum brand him 'divisive'

Prince Harry has reportedly been left "stunned" by the backlash over his nomination for the ESPY's Pat Tillman Award for Service, which celebrates his efforts with the Invictus Games. The Royal is slated to attend the star-studded event on July 11.

The accolade is in memory of former footballer Pat Tillman who, after the tragedy of 9/11, swapped a lucrative $3.8 million NFL contract for military service, only to tragically lose his life in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan two decades ago.

Everything we know about Prince William's new documentary including start date

No stranger to the Royal spotlight and media attention, Prince William is set to reveal a different aspect of himself in an upcoming documentary series.

Unlike his brother Prince Harry, who previously gave viewers a glimpse into Royal life with his wife Meghan Markle in a Netflix documentary last year, William will be championing a cause close to his heart - ending homelessness.

The new documentary, titled "Prince William: We Can End Homelessness", will be broadcast in two parts on ITV and ITVX this Autumn.

'King Charles and Prince William are right to slim down Royal Family' claims expert

King Charles' reign has been characterised by his ambition for a streamlined monarchy, avoiding the past spectacle of Buckingham Palace's balcony crowded with non-working royals and their families.

However, with both the Princess of Wales and the Princess Royal currently unavailable, it's been noted how thinly stretched the remaining members of the Royal Family are as they maintain their engagements and charity work.

Despite this, there seem to be no plans to bring in additional royals to ease the burden, a strategy that former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes is a positive move.

"I still hold to the idea that the slimmed down Royal Family IS indeed the right model for the future," Jennie explained.
