Jamie O'Hara has described Harry Kane as England's version of Cristiano Ronaldo as he slammed the Three Lions captain for his display in the quarter-final against Switzerland.

Kane is leading the line again for the Three Lions but was a peripheral figure in the first half in Dusseldorf.

And former Tottenham player O'Hara has slammed Kane as 'lazy' and said that the Bayern Munich striker was the only player who let him down during the first-half.

He told talkSPORT: 'He doesn't look fit, he's being lazy. He's really annoying me.'

'I'm worried that we've got a Ronaldo in the team, and that we have to play him.'

O'Hara wasn't the only person to criticise the England captain during the first-half.

Bukayo Saka put a dangerous ball into the Switzerland box during the opening 45 minutes, though Kane didn't appear to be too desperate in his attempts to get on the end of it.

BBC commentator Alan Shearer said: 'That is a good ball and Bukayo Saka has every chance to say, 'where are you?'

'Saka is waiting for someone to get into he box and Harry Kane doesn't move at all really.'

The comparisons to Ronaldo are damning indictment on the England captain, as the Portuguese star struggled throughout Euro 2024.

Ronaldo faced heavy criticism for his performances, as he failed to score a goal across the five matches that Portugal were in the tournament.

The 39-year-old failed to score with any of the 23 shots he had, while also was left in tears after missing a penalty during their last-16 win against Slovenia.

Ronaldo scored during the penalty shootout against France, though Joao Felix's miss led to their elimination in the quarter-finals.

Kane's performances, as with many of England's stars, have come under scrutiny at the Euros.

The England captain has scored twice in the tournament, with a goal against Denmark in the group stage, and the vital winner against Slovakia in extra-time in the last-16.
