The GROUT PEN I received has a dry white tip, is it broken or did I receive the wrong color?

Tips need to be primed before use, all brand new GROUT PENS have a dry white tip until they are activated.

The tip of my GROUT PEN fell out or is worn down, is my pen broken?

Tips are designed to be removable so when a tip becomes worn or damaged it can be taken out and flipped over. If the tip falls out do not worry, simply put it back in and keep working.

This worked pretty well for me. It was easy to apply to grout lines and the color was appropriate for my tile. It's a sort of beige color, so if you want white this isn't it. It also won't work with narrow grout lines smaller than about a quarter inch, unless you don't mind wiping off what gets on the tiles.

Actually, even with wider grout lines this paint will mark some of the tile because you can't really guide it that accurately all the time. But it's pretty easy to wipe off the unwanted paint marks since it doesn't dry for a minute or two after you apply it.

I did have occasional problems with the tip of the applicator falling out of the tube since nothing really holds it down except friction. But you just pop it back in and keep going.

Overall, I was pleased with it. It has a few drawbacks but nothing that keeps you from getting your work done.

Bleach, scrubbing and multiple cleaners did not help. This fixed the problem in about a half hour. Used this on walls and floor after making sure surface was clean and dry. After replacing the caulk around the tub and painting the grout, the bathroom looks practically new. Cheapest and easiest fix ever. It's been 2 months and it's holding up well to cleaning. I used the beige and 1 coat covered all but a couple of rust spots that took 2 or 3 to look perfect.

What an easy product to use to create a cleaner look! The Ivory was too white so we went with the Beige for our warmer, wood-toned bathroom. See my pics and video. Overall, I used 1.5 of the fat pens for my bathroom, and I’m going to buy the smaller tipped pen to touch up edges around the baseboards and tub. Overall, this helped to eliminate the eye-catching appearance of the darker/dirtier areas in our bathroom, which will definitely help at time of resell!

I rely heavily on customer reviews, but will admit I seldom leave a comment for others. My experience with this seller and with these pens compelled me to write something. The grout lines in my 15 year old home were very dirty. The original homeowner never sealed the grout lines properly so they just looked gross after so many years. I wasn't sure which color I wanted for my grout, so I ordered one in every color offered. For my needs, the light gray was too light, and the dark gray had too much of a blue-ish hue. The cream was a little more yellow than I wanted and the white was very, VERY bright. The beige was PERFECT. I ordered 15 pens and in a few days I have painted the grout in about 1,400 square feet of my home (and I still have one pen left over for touch-ups if needed). I read that others had trouble with the pens not lasting long enough, the nibs wearing out too soon, the process being too messy... all of which I could see happening but it's all in the technique you employ. Of the 15 pens I ordered, only 1 exploded on me. All of the others I was able to get most of the paint out of before the nib wore down (you can turn the nib around and use the other side to get as much out as possible). The seller offered me extra nibs for free, but I didn't need them. I could see why many reviews about the white color equated to using liquid paper... it is very white and I could see that color working best in a bathroom or shower and only if you have small grout lines. My grout lines are very wide so I used the large pens. When applying the paint, I did get paint on the tile itself at the edges of the grout lines, but if you wait at least 2-3 days, you can scrub the area and any paint that got on the tile will come off and the paint in the grout will stay! After scrubbing, just go over your grout with a sealer (I highly recommend using a small bottle with a brush applicator... it goes faster than the painting!). That is what I did and my floors look like new. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking to spruce up their existing tile.

The majority of problems people are having is with the felt tips. I don't know how hard they're pushing but it's entirely unnecessary to use force to get the paint out. I was able to do my entire bathroom and shower grout with the same tip and had no issues. The paint flow was excellent and I was very happy with the ease of use.
Until 2 days later when I used the shower and ALL the paint came right off as if it was a Crayola washable marker. Instructions say it'll dry within 10min and requires 25 hours, so I double the time needed for best results. This suff was way too expensive to be so absolutely useless and a massive waste of a day.
This is definitely a product for a "landlord special" to make something "look nice". Don't waste your time or money if you expect it to hold up, but for sure if you're moving out and want that deposit back, I guess.

These grout pens are great and work well and give good coverage .Make sure U clean Ur grout 1st to allow it to adhere....Give them a good shake, U need to press down onto the nib afew times but not too hard as u'll push the nib in, then when U see the colour on the nib then Ur good to go!! My grout looks like new again very pleased with the Results🙂It dries quickly but I let it afew hours to dry properly before I cleaned my floor .Would Def buy these again as and when I needed to buy hopefully I don't have to for a while yet!!🙂
