    Tips need to be primed before use, all brand new GROUT PENS have a dry white tip until they are activated.

    The tip of my GROUT PEN fell out or is worn down, is my pen broken?

    Tips are designed to be removable so when a tip becomes worn or damaged it can be taken out and flipped over. If the tip falls out do not worry, simply put it back in and keep working.

    In a narrow grout-line: It only wen't about 5 linear feet ... then it ran out of ink ... and the tip was smush. But it looked good ... so I'll order a bunch more to finish my shower floor.

    Pleasantly surprised!!

    I'm very surprised at how long this one pen has lasted. I am 80% finished with my kitchen backsplash and still on the first pen. Every time I think "oh, this is the end", I prime it and it starts flowing again. The felt trip lost its fine point a long time ago but I'm using it on sanded grout so that is to be expected. I just went with bolder grout lines and it adds some needed contrast.

    The pic shows the new black grout lines on the right above the stove, old dingy "what were they thinking" brown grout (on gray tile...sure, that makes sense...) on the left. I am not a fan of the gray tile but I think the black grout takes the stage and focus away from the gray.

    I just ordered two more pens because I just know this one will give out at some point and I want to have a backup for touch ups.

    I put my bathroom floor in about ten years ago and it looked wonderful until I sealed the grout. My black grout turned light grey and patchy. The grout always looked dirty because of the patchiness of the light grey and my great floor ended up not so great. My neighbor mentioned that these pens existed and Wow! Before and after pics are above and my black grout finally pops again. The paint was easy to apply, had great coverage and has been on for a week without looking any worse. I haven't mopped it yet but have swept and walked all over it and it looks just like when I applied it. I am so happy every time I walk in there and finally feel like my floor is what I wanted. Highly recommend for the price and ease of application, even if i have to redo it every year, totally worth it since my other option is to redo the floor.
    Update: almost two years later and it still looks great! It is holding up better than I ever thought it would.

    I used these pens on the grout in a bathroom renovation. They worked really well. They didn't last as long as I anticipated and had to buy more. For a small shower I used about 6 pens. But the effect was amazing. Would recommend.

    Habe den Stift bestellt, da wir in der Dusche (auf dem Boden) Kiesel haben. Die sind zwar toll, aber als kalkhaltiger Stein darf man keinen vernünftigen Reiniger verwenden und so leiden auch die Fugen, heisst irgendwann kalken sie ein wenig zu. Ursprünglich anthrazit hatten sich die Fugen zu einer nicht näher bestimmbaren Farbe entwickelt, heisst, wurden unansehnlich.
    Da es den Stift LEIDER nicht in anthrazit gibt - komischerweise bei keinem der Hersteller! - fiel die Wahl auf schwarz.
    ACHTUNG: den Stift gibt es in zwei Größen, heisst Füllmenge UND Breite der Spitze, mit sehr geringem Preisunterschied. Ich hatte zuerst den grossen=dicken Stift. Von dem was rauskommt, gleich. Nur ist die Spitze bei dem dicken Stift auch wesentlich dicker, was vor allem bei feineren Arbeiten, wie bei mir "Malen nach Zahlen zwischen den Kieseln", nicht hilft! Da empfehle ich lieber zwei "dünne" Stifte.
    Der dicke Stift hat eine Spitzenbreite von ca. 0,5-0,7 cm, der dünne malt zunächst mit ca. 0,2-0,3cm, bis er anfängt auszufransen, dann ein bisschen dicker.
    Die Stifte sind praktisch, lassen gut mit sich arbeiten.
    ACHTUNG: Bevor Sie den Stift für den Boden verwenden - vor allem unter der Dusche - vorher alles nochmal gründlich schrubben! Das habe ich vor dem ersten Versuch nicht gemacht und die Farbe ging relativ schnell ab. Nun mit Putzen alles schön neu "verfugt" und es scheint zu halten. Wie lange es an so undankbarer Stelle wie unter der Dusche halten wird, kann ich noch nicht sagen. Bisher macht es einen sehr guten Eindruck. Und auch wenn ein bisschen was hin und wieder nachgerarbeitet werden muss, das ist allemal einfacher, als neu zu fliesen.
