Great article on the power of psychological safety in the workplace by Nina Gomes and Mike Edward at Crestbridge #stepepp #EmployerPartnershipProgramme #professionaldevelopment
Picture this: you are in a meeting room, surrounded by colleagues. A groundbreaking idea pops into your head that could catapult your team's project to new heights. But a voice inside you makes you hesitate; what if they laugh or dismiss your idea entirely? This scenario is a prime example of why psychological safety matters. Nina Gomes, Head of Learning and Development and Mike Edward, Chief People Officer, explain the importance of psychological safety in the workplace in an article written for STEP members. If you're a member you can read the full article here, if not, find out more about joining STEP 👉 https://lnkd.in/eMxPXmhZ Jenni Hutchinson #STEP #PsychologicalSafety #EmployeeWellbeing

We are proud to launch the STEP Global Representative Power (GRP) today. The STEP GRP is a template and a benchmark for a lasting/enduring power of attorney that is globally recognised and portable across borders. It serves as a model ‘best-practice’ template to governments globally when developing new legislation or reviewing existing provisions. The STEP GRP was developed by a group of STEP’s expert members in response to concerns from practitioners about the absence of a globally recognised and consistent form of lasting power of attorney. We are calling on all jurisdictions globally to implement robust legal frameworks to safeguard clients through powers of representation. We would like to thank our expert members who have given up their time and shared their expertise over the past year to make the GRP happen: • Yue-En Chong TEP, Bethel Chambers LLC - Singapore • Richard Frimston TEP, Russell-Cooke Solicitors - UK • Kelly Greig TEP, Steele Raymond LLP Solicitors - UK • Kate Hanslow, Simmons Wolfhagen Lawyers - Tasmania, Australia • Ian Lebane TEP, TD Wealth, Wealth Advisory Services - Ontario, Canada • Claire van Overdijk KC TEP, Carey Olsen - Bermuda • Margaret Walsh TEP, Sheil Solicitors - Ireland • Michael Wells-Greco TEP, Charles Russell Speechlys - Switzerland Find out more about the Global Representative Power: https://www.step.org/GRP #STEPProfile #MentalCapacity

Today STEP has launched a new report outlining the findings of a global survey of 756 practitioners. Loss of Mental Capacity – A Global Perspective, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Society, found that practitioners are increasingly advising on capacity issues and expect this to increase over the next five years. Alongside this, a shocking 57% of respondents had seen instances of vulnerable person financial abuse. Read the report: https://lnkd.in/ekGtk9Dg In light of the report findings, we are calling on all jurisdictions globally to implement robust and consistent legal frameworks for safeguarding vulnerable clients’ financial affairs of clients through powers of representation. We will support this with the soon-to-be launched STEP Global Representative Power, which, along with the report findings, will be discussed in a webinar on 27 November. Register for the event: https://bit.ly/47l6jEQ Thank you to all those who have contributed to the report including Kathleen Cunningham TEP, Darren Catton TEP, Yue-En Chong TEP, Martin Haanen TEP, Leah Sewell TEP, Sheree Green TEP, Claire van Overdijk KC TEP, Richard Frimston TEP and Jo Summers TEP.
