One of the really interesting things about having both brands and agencies using Macaroni Software is being to able to compare the levels of activity for both. What we're seeing so far is agencies use it to deliver the same amount of work in a fraction of the time that they were before. Brands though are not limiting themselves. They are doing huge amounts of updates - sometimes more than 1k per week in terms of mapping keywords, on-page optimisation, creating new pages and content and building internal links. The results, unsurprisingly, are much, much better. Our goal now is to encourage agencies to not just do the work they were doing for their retainer in an hour each month, but do double or triple in 2-3 hours.

For far too long, our Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) updates have read like a prolonged weather forecast—cloudy with a chance of more clouds. The figures had been on a downward slide, with the #Southwest consistently finding itself at the bottom of the positivity league table. But not today. 🚀 I'm thrilled to report a dramatic shift in our latest quarterly confidence report for Q1 of 2024. We've witnessed the best figures since 2021. Our percentage index among #Southwest businesses has catapulted from a chilly -37 at the end of 2023 to a sunny +7 now. Yes, you read that right—a leap of over 40 points! This remarkable recovery has also lifted the Southwest up the positivity rankings. Talk about a comeback! While not all indicators are in the green yet, and there are still challenges ahead, it's refreshing to finally share some uplifting news. How we secured our client 22 high authority, high traffic links with digital PR: First we created 3 news stories. 1 story was aimed at national coverage - we create something interesting, current and directly contact national journalists 2 stories were aimed at local coverage - a data study and analysis that can be repurposed for each country and sent to local journalists - easy wins 🔥 - one of these data studies was specific to the clients niche, while the other 'zoomed out' to get wider opportunity of coverage We outreached to journalists both manually and using tools like Muckrack to create target lists based on the type of story. We waited and followed up over the course of a few weeks. The result from a 10+ minimum campaign? 22 links and counting!

"This blog gets the highest traffic on our website... It's our best performing page." One quick look on Google Analytics and we soon found that most of the traffic was coming from the US, Australia and Middle East... Not overly useful for a business who only trades in the UK.
