We gave a creative brief to the People's Association communications team (instead of the other way round!) What went down during a recent content creation workshop hosted at our studio: 💭 Kai Yuan Ng shared insights from OGS on what makes a good story 🤳🏻 Adeline Tay gave a quick crash course on how to approach people and tips on making social media content 🏘️ Officers then had to put what they've learnt to practice, working in groups to create a TikTok video of interesting places and businesses around the estate Of course, there was some healthy competition to be voted as the winning group! Thank you again to the team from PA for the energizing session! #contentcreation #singapore #socialmedia #workshop #storytellingtips

Who ever said that all presentations needed to be serious and formal? Meet the Business and Partnerships (B&P) team at UNFOLD Asia! We took a break from making creative proposals at work to having a #PowerpointParty for our recent team dinner. From travel adventures to family activities, we shared about what excited us in the recent months. And let's not forget about the pizzas – they disappeared faster than you can say "cheese!" 🍕✨ We ended the night with a game of Poetry for Neanderthals, let's just say that speaking in single syllables is harder than we all thought... Until next time! Signing off, Amelia The Intern Zul Kamuradin Kaiyan Chong Cheryl Pek Ethel Wee Noelle Woon Yuheng Hu Stephanie Wu Duang Fu Boh Kimberly Jeremiah Amelia Yee

Our Grandfather Story (OGS) reposted this
"What if I don’t want to follow the Singaporean Dream? This has been on my mind for the past year as I navigate my life as a 24-turning-25-year-old. From conversations with many friends, most of whom are creatives and freelancers, there was a common agreement that they wanted to forge their own paths, not defined by the typical 'successful Singaporean' timeline. Every time I listened to them share their unique perspectives, I admired how they followed their own inner compass and pursued what truly ignited their souls. Writing this piece, I realised I, too, don’t really want to follow this ideal Singaporean Dream path. I want to create, explore, travel—the list goes on. I don’t chase the ‘ideal’ dreams. So there’s always the fear of whether I can survive in Singapore with this mindset, or what my future holds. I believe it’s possible. Through my many hobbies and passions, I’ve found a way to integrate them into my life. Even in my current job, I can merge many of my passions. Thank you for reading up to this point! I wanna know what are your thoughts? Do you resonate with this piece? Do you also diverge from this path? Feel free to check out the full post on Our Grandfather Story (OGS)’s Instagram page 🫶🏻 Thank you to Yuan Xi Mog for bringing my words and thoughts into a beautifully illustrated piece! You have so thoughtfully drawn out each emotion and detail and I believe it is what made this piece come alive even more! Link: https://lnkd.in/g8DXERHz

It's been 6 months since nOm's first "What Do You Want To Eat?" episode! nOm (our sister food channel at UNFOLD Asia) has been putting out *viral* episodes where host Azfar Maswan surprises strangers by cooking anything they want to eat. From wet market vendors to migrant workers to delivery riders, we've made many new friends, heard their unique stories and celebrated the diversity of Asian food. The positive responses from these videos shows yet again that food has a magical charm of connecting people 👫 👬 👭 If you spot Azfar on the street, say hi! “I’m wearing a blue top and I have long brown-black hair.” We were pleasantly surprised by how every participant's self-introduction included a verbal description at Expedia Group's latest Ability Inclusion Movement event last week. Our Grandfather Story (OGS) and Ribbit.FYI were invited to share our experience covering stories of persons with disabilities and topics surrounding mental health. As we went through our creative process, our producers emphasised the importance of being patient, respectful and providing a safe space for unheard voices. A big thank you to Celeste Beh and Shu Mei Tan for having us over and we thank everyone who joined for the insightful exchange! If you're interested, here are some of the works we shared about: 💭 The "Distracted" Girl: How ADHD Is Different For Women: https://lnkd.in/epdn-2YN 💭 Love Enabled: A 6-part series following persons with disabilities on their journey to find love: https://lnkd.in/eGEcVBvA 💭 Accessiblity Is More Than Just Ramps And Railings: https://lnkd.in/eX66fmGM 💭 Journey to the Special Olympics: A documentary following athletes Nicholas and Hazimah on their first international sports competition https://lnkd.in/ehCias6n 💭 Our ongoing 'Can Ask Meh?' To those who are not open to art: approach art with the mindset of enjoying yourself, and understand what artists like about it. Nobody can decide for you what art means to you so you should try it to see what it means to you. Keep putting in the effort regardless of the reward, and just have fun with creating! - Yu, Director of Straits Art Co. 🎨🖌️

Do you find yourself confused by your manager's feedback? Or do you find it hard to communicate with your subordinates? As it turns out not all feedback is good feedback. Ribbit.FYI's data story shares tips and tricks to manage yourself...and maybe even your manager!
Good workplace feedback isn’t always about “here’s what you can do better”—it’s equally as important to talk about “here’s what you are doing well.” We’re inclined to think that good can still be better, because “there’s always room for improvement!” But while that might be true, it doesn’t help workers to understand what they’re doing right. This lack of clarity leads to tension between managers and their reports, and an unclear job is never fun to do. So if you’re someone who’s looking to give—and get—better feedback, this piece is for you!
