https://lnkd.in/gQcHxV83 I had first-hand experience with NinjaVan recently. 👗👙Top e-commerce retailers in the last few years have perfected their trade that the process up to returns/ refunds are almost hassle-free and seamless, making it my top shopping choice. I can't help but think that the 5% reduction in staff headcount has disrupted the dependability of NinjaVan and I will really hesitate to order from any site that uses them as their parcel delivery partner. I had so much trouble with the return/ refund process, spending almost 25 mins communicating with ASOS's online customer service officer because the planned pickup didn't happen (and no one had contacted me to rearrange). According to the customer service officer, that NinjaVan wasn't able to fulfil the original pickup arrangement and to ensure its timely pickup, I was advised to drop off my parcel at a collection point instead. I used to have issues with NinjaVan during the earlier days of Covid (understandably so). But in the last 2 years, it has really cleaned up and I had no complaints. While it is easy to conduct lay-offs to reduce bottom-line, MORE has to be done to ensure it is doesn't negatively impact your organisational effectiveness, your reputation and overall confidence in your brand.

Last weekend, I took my daughter to watch Kung Fu Panda, what Master Oogway said to Po resonated with me "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to lose sight of the present moment. Work, family, health, relationships - the list goes on, and it can all become overwhelming. But amidst the chaos, there lies a powerful truth: the importance of Refocusing and being Present. A wise lady once said, "It's all about Refocus." Taking just 10 minutes a day to meditate, to listen to your heart, and to allow your thoughts and ideas to flow can make a world of difference. By grounding ourselves in the here and now, we can better connect with our surroundings, our tasks, and most importantly, ourselves. Being present isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity, especially in today's fast-paced world. It's about taking the time to acknowledge where we are, what we're doing, and who we are with. This mindfulness not only fosters clarity and focus but also enhances our ability to deliver exceptional work. Even for the most seasoned leaders, hands-on ability remains crucial nowadays. By continuously practicing mindfulness and staying present, we can tap into our inner peace and unlock our full potential. 🍃

(13 June 2024) Majority of jobseekers would reject roles over poor diversity, equity and inclusion practices: Indeed Indeed, revealed new research highlighting areas where "Singapore can work better". Particularly, in addressing cultural misalignments between prospective employees and business leaders. “Employers who don’t prioritise fair hiring and DEIB are losing key talent—or missing out altogether,” said Rachael Townsley, Marketing Director, Indeed APAC. This underscores a significant shift in jobseeker priorities. “We know four in five (78%) jobseekers now prioritise a company’s reputation more than they would have a year ago. How to Calm Your Second Interview Jitters? Story:~ Rachel sat at her kitchen table, staring at her laptop screen with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. She had just received an email confirming her second interview for a highly coveted position at a leading tech company. The first interview had gone well, and now the pressure was on to make an even better impression. As the interview date approached, her nerves started to. One evening, Rachel decided to call her friend and mentor, David, for advice. "David, I don't know what to do," Rachel confessed over the phone. "I'm so nervous about this second interview. What if I mess up?" David chuckled. "It's completely normal to feel this way, Rachel. The key is to manage your jitters. Let me share a few strategies that have helped me in the past." 1. Preparation is Key "First, preparation is crucial," David began. "Research the company thoroughly. Know their values, projects, and the specifics of the role you're applying for. The more informed you are, the more confident you'll feel. 2. Practice Makes Perfect "Practice answering common interview questions," David continued.
