🌞 Summer Sales Myth or Truth? As the temperature rises, so do the debates among wholesalers: Is it really easier to sell clothes in the summer than in the winter? Let's explore this common belief. Summer: A Hot Season for Sales? Many wholesalers argue that summer brings a surge in demand for clothes. The reasons are clear: 🌴Vacation Wardrobes: With more people traveling, there's a higher demand for casual wear, swimsuits, and accessories. 🏓 Outdoor Activities: Events, festivals, and outdoor gatherings prompt increased purchases of trendy and comfortable outfits. 🛒 Retail Promotions: Summer sales and clearances attract customers looking for the best deals on seasonal attire. Winter: Cold but Lucrative. On the other hand, winter isn't as frosty for sales as one might think: 🎁Holiday Shopping: The holiday season drives significant consumer spending on gifts, including clothing. 🧥Winter Essentials: Coats, boots, and warm accessories are must-haves, ensuring steady sales of high-ticket items. 🪄Back-to-School Season: The start of the academic year sees a spike in demand for new wardrobes. Both summer and winter have unique advantages for clothing wholesalers. Success depends on understanding market demands and strategically stocking up on seasonal essentials. At Brand Club, we cater to all your seasonal needs with a wide selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Whether it's summer dresses or winter coats, our diverse inventory ensures you’re always prepared to meet customer demands. BREAKING NEWS: Together with Blurred we are thrilled to publish The Road To Inclusivity 2024: Is The Fashion Industry Heading in the Right Direction Towards an Inclusive Culture? What impact does inclusion have in the workplace? Through our research, Blurred x Fashion Minority Alliance found that the fashion and creative industries still face three critical challenges related to equity and inclusion in the employee life-cycle, namely: 1. Attrition of staff from underrepresented backgrounds at the mid-level which is linked to lack of progression or promotion prospects for these individuals 2. Continued difficulty in creating a sense of inclusion and belonging consistently across corporate culture and business practices, leading to disengagement from affected employees and disruption to the employee lifecycle 3. A disconnect between policies and practice, as well as a lack of preparation and education to avert crises related to representation To read the full report and the solutions it offers to ensuring workplace inclusion for all employees download a copy of the report here: https://lnkd.in/ejrMaKQf #EmployeeEngagement #CareerPathing #DEI #DataDrivenHR #FutureOfWork #HRInnovation #WorkplaceCulture #Creative #Fashion #TheRoadToInclusivityReport2024

🧵 Power Imbalance in Fashion Supply Chains The fashion industry faces a power imbalance between suppliers and buyers, leading to compromised worker safety. With consumers demanding fast and sustainable fashion, suppliers are under pressure without additional compensation. Key Points: Companies must align purchasing practices with regulations like CSDDD, improving human rights and sustainability. Non-Compliance Consequences: Fines up to 5% of global turnover and potential damage claims. Matthijs Crietee, IAF: New regulations prevent buyers from shifting all costs to manufacturers, promoting fairness. Kate Lewis, ETI: Responsible purchasing practices protect workers and enhance business sustainability. Peter McAllister, ETI: This is a chance to standardize human rights due diligence and improve global working conditions. #Sustainability #Fashion #EthicalTrade #HumanRights #SupplyChain

🌐 On 21-23 May, the #GlobalFashionSummit 2024 Edition took place in Copenhagen and was hosted by the Global Fashion Agenda, where some of the most important players in the fashion industry discussed sustainability in the fashion industry. If you didn't get the chance to discover what was discussed at this event's conference, keep reading and discover the key takeaways🔽: 🔄 Transition from Linear Business Models to Circular business models: The fashion industry must change its mind about promoting circular-based business models instead of the current selling-more business model. 🤝 Collaboration as a Key Solution: Authorities, fashion brands, textile retailers, supply chain suppliers, or ONG must work together to define new strategies to promote real changes which involve all the fashion industry players and new business models where everyone benefits. ♻️ Boosting Recycling: The textile industry must invest and implement new recycling technologies to attract fashion brands. Current numbers about textile products' recycling are worrying; just 1% of old garments are actually recycled. 💡 Investing in Innovative Materials: Circular-based fibres can accelerate the fashion industry's transition to a circular economy. Together with new recycling innovations, investing in materials is one of the most important areas to invest in changing the textile industry. ℹ️ Increase Transparency: Transparency is one of the most important circular principles, so brands and retailers must increase their products and processes transparency for consumers and authorities. 🚀 Empowering Consumers: Consumers' Role in fashion's circular transition is vital. The more educated and environmentally-conscious consumers will increase sustainable product demands, boosting circular-based brands. 🧠 Changing Industry's Mindset: Due to the climate emergency, the industry must act urgently. It is not about empty promises or sustainable marketing slogans, our planet needs changes and real actions to reduce carbon emissions and other environmental-damaging consequences of our impact. 🛑 Stopping oversupplying and overconsumption: One of the most polluting practices of the fashion industry is oversupply and overconsumption. This situation causes tons of textile waste which must be reduced. ⚖️ Sustainability Regulations: Authorities must regulate unsustainable practices to fight against them. For example, the EU planned the Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textile, emphasising designer responsibility and ecodesign requirements for durability and repairability. At Recovo, we are always up-to-date with the latest textile industry news. We invite you to join our Circular Fashion journey and discover more about how the industry is transitioning to Circular Economy.
