28 July marks World Hepatitis Day. On this day we raise awareness of the impact and long-term effects of viral hepatitis. This year’s theme is: It’s time for action. According to WHO: ⭕ 304 million people are living with chronic hepatitis B and C in 2022 ⭕ Only 45% of babies received the hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of birth in 2022 ⭕ 1.3 million people died of chronic hepatitis B and C in 2022 With a person dying from a hepatitis-related illness, every 30 seconds, accelerated action on better prevention, diagnosis and treatment is needed to save lives and improve health outcomes. Therefor access to diagnosis and effective treatment is essential. By supplying diagnostic tests for hepatitis and various essential medicines and medical supplies used to treat patients suffering from severe hepatitis, IDA supports access to medicines and early diagnosis so that no one is left behind. 🌍 Great to see mental health, often an under-represented topic, gaining the much-needed attention at the #CCIH Conference in Kenya. Mental health is a crucial part of overall well-being, yet it frequently gets overshadowed, especially in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). At IDA, we are committed to bridging gaps and making mental and chronic disease health resources accessible and affordable in LMICs. By integrating mental and chronic health products into our portfolio, we aim to create sustainable and impactful health solutions. If you share our passion for making a difference and would like to discuss these opportunities further, please connect with us. Together, we can build a healthier future for all. #GlobalHealth #MentalHealth #ChronicDisease #HealthForAll
Mental health is a critical component of overall health, yet it has often been overlooked in health programs across Africa. As we continue to address physical health challenges, it's imperative that we also prioritize mental well-being. We are excited to be part of the CCIH regional meeting in Limuru, Kenya, where we will be learning and sharing our experiences on navigating #MentalHealth in programming. ACHAP continues to champion the integration of mental health into health programs across Africa. Together, we can foster environments where mental health is valued as much as physical health, creating stronger, healthier communities. #MentalHealth #Africa #HealthanHealingforAll #Wellbeing #SustainableDevelopment #HealthPrograms #CommunityHealth
