The Spices Board in New Delhi enforced pre-shipment checks for spices exported to Singapore and Hong Kong after recalls due to ethylene oxide contamination. The Singapore Food Agency implemented a hold-and-test procedure for Indian spices. Minister Jitin Prasada ensured compliance with food safety rules and confirmed no ban on Indian spices by these nations.
