I'm a devoted follower of Christ, with Courtney as my cherished wife of 22 years. Together, we're blessed with three wonderful children and two adorable grandchildren. My professional journey has been diverse, from serving as a County Commissioner to retiring as Chief Deputy Sheriff. Currently, I'm the Chief Operations Officer at Harness, LLC, while also managing my own business ventures. And when it comes to passions outside of work, you'll find me cheering fervently for my beloved football teams, the Tennessee Volunteers and the Tennessee Titans.

• "Putting Maury's Children First!" is more than a slogan—it's a guiding principle. I'm dedicated to collaborating with all school systems in my district, both public and private, to prioritize the needs of our children. Parents should always retain the freedom to choose the educational path that best suits their children, whether it be public, private, or homeschooling. In this regard, the government's role should be minimal, respecting parental choice and staying uninvolved in decisions regarding education.
• Representative government should truly represent the essence of its name. We don't elect individuals to reign over us; we elect them to serve and advocate for our interests at every level of governance. Our nation was founded on the principle of replacing tyrants with public servants who genuinely reflect the needs of their constituents. Unfortunately, too often, elected officials veer from this path, choosing to rule rather than serve. My commitment is clear: I aspire to serve you, not to wield power over you.

1. Inflation: I am dedicated to exploring strategies that mitigate the adverse effects of inflation on the residents of my district.
2. Immigration: I am committed to aiding border states in border security efforts, especially when the federal government falls short in fulfilling its responsibility to secure our borders.
3. Education and Child Support: I prioritize initiatives aimed at enhancing education and providing robust support for children within our communities.
4. Crime and Drugs: Collaborating with local law enforcement agencies and community organizations, I aim to ensure accountability for criminals while also advocating for rehabilitation options to address the root causes of crime and drug abuse.

Absolutely, I would love to see this especially on the local level before running for state office.

Absolutely, no man is on an island or at least he shouldn't be. This is lacking greatly on both sides of the isle today and it especially shows in the TN state house.

NO and I hope that never changes!

To alleviate the burden of inflation on our elderly property owners, my inaugural legislative proposal aims to implement a property tax freeze. Under this initiative, property taxes will be maintained at their current rate for homeowners aged 68 and above who fall within a predetermined lower income bracket (to be determined). This freeze will remain in effect until the property changes ownership or the owner's income surpasses the eligibility threshold.
