Marsh ran for re-election to the 62nd District seat in 2010. He defeated Joseph C. Byrd in the August 5 primary.[10] He defeated Democrat Jenny W. Hunt in the general election on November 2, 2010.[11]

On Oct. 13, 2009, Marsh won a special election to the 62nd District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponents Ty Cobb II (D) and Christopher T. Brown.
