A small business owner and a father of four, Ret. Master Sgt. Ronnie Glynn served with honor and distinction for over 23 years in the United States Army. He continues to serve his community as a mentor to youths through Big Brother Big Sisters of America. Answering the call to serve once more, Ronnie's focus will be on jobs, public education funding, healthcare, and veterans' resources. He plans to build upon his work and service experience to bring positive and productive change to the lives of everyday Tennesseans.

I'm passionate about veterans' issues and resources. After serving their country, veterans deserve the respect and resources they deserve to prosper in society. As a veteran, I know the struggles some individuals may face when re-entering the workforce and reintegrating into society. Our elected officials should be providing resources to veterans and serve them just as the veterans served their country.

Martin Luther King Jr. MLK was able to reach into the soul of this country and find the good, even if it was against public opinion. He was able to bring people together for a common cause. He gave hope to Black Americans that still stands true today.

Integrity, Loyality, and Kindness are the three characteristics that should be instill in all elected officials. Live with Integrity is the principled life we should strive for. Being true to yourself is being true to those whom you represent.

To be the voice of the people. To understand the issues their constituents and work to improve their lives.

Ronnie was a man of Integrity, a Giver, and Compassionate Man. He told the truth even when the truth was not pretty, He never wanted to see anyone suffer when he could be something about it. Whether it was a few dollar or giving a material item. He always put other above himself, his compassion to make other lives better was how he life his life.

I worked at Piggly Wiggly for a year.

Black Panther - His passion to my his nation a better place for everyone

My biggest struggle is learning to rest. My desire to stay on top of issues has my mind constantly moving and problem solving.

No. I believe the two experiences in life someone needs to be a legislator is bringing people together and working well with others.

There should be a system of checks and balances in place and allow for a government by, for, and of the people.

Absolutely. Bills aren't passed with one vote alone. When there comes to disagreement, we must all be able to see that we want to better the lives of our constituents.

I favor an independent organization being in charge of redistricting so that neither political party would have an advantage.

As a veteran, the stories that have the most impact are the hardships of transitioning veteran from military life to civilian life. It is not just the difficulties of seeing doctors and receiving treatment, it is also the burden of financial burdens. We can do better in ensuring transitioning veterans are better prepared for the life after service.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Tennessee

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states. To contribute to the list of Tennessee scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
