Plastic packaging that is designed effectively, made with recycled material, is recyclable and then recycled and remanufactured properly can stay in the circular economy almost indefinitely. Pact Group Holdings Ltd Group Chair Raphael Geminder says that with the right regulatory support from government, there is an opportunity for Australia to become a regional circular economy hub for the mass production and export of high-quality food-grade recycled resins and recycled plastic packaging. #sustainability #packaging #circulareconomy #recycling

To take Australia’s recycling industry to the next level, we need a shift in thinking across government, industry and society so that discarded plastic packaging is treated as a valuable resource as opposed to waste. Pact Group Holdings Ltd Chair Raphael Geminder says that with the right regulatory support from government, there is an opportunity for Australia to become a regional circular economy hub for the mass production and export of high-quality food-grade recycled resins and recycled plastic packaging. #sustainability #packaging #circulareconomy #recycling

We are so proud to work with DuluxGroup on this achievement - the first for a major paint brand in Australia. #ProudToBePartners #ProudToBePact
𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Dulux Acratex is proud to announce a big milestone in our commitment to sustainability with a switch to 50% recycled content in our 15 litre plastic pails and lids. Last week, the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 at our factory in Beverley, South Australia. By the end of 2024, all product packaged in 15L plastic pails at the Acratex factory will have transitioned to the new pails and lids containing 50% recycled plastic. On an annual basis, this will divert over 300T of waste from landfill. The new pails are easily identifiable in store and out on the job – being dark grey in colour compared to the previous white pail. #DuluxGroup #ImagineABetterPlace #Sustainability

Pact's recycled plastic noisewall panels have just been installed as part of the South Gippsland Freeway replacement project. #circulareconomy #infrastructure #noisewalls #recycledplastic
Sustainability meets noise management on the South Gippsland Highway. The noise walls installed by the Department of Transport and Planning as part of the South Gippsland Freeway noise wall replacement project are made from 75% recycled plastic collected from households across the state. The panels have a lifespan of at least 30 years and can be recycled again at the end of their life! The design adopts an innovative solution that provides better amenity for residents viewing the walls from their backyards. The steel posts that support the noise walls are not visible from the resident’s side of the fence and the recessive colour complements the residential context. The Recycled Plastic Roto Moulded Panels are manufactured by Pact Group, which were previously used in a world first on the Mordialloc Freeway Project. ecologiQ is proud to have helped develop Australia’s first standard for recycled plastic noise walls. Find out more about the recycled plastic noise walls and how you can use them on your projects here: https://lnkd.in/gRCcgW5i #greenerinfrastucture #recycling #recycledplastic

A Financial Times video story shows that until recently, much of Australia’s plastic waste was either sent to landfill or shipped overseas, neither of which were good for the environment. Recycling and reusing plastic packaging is crucial to creating a circular economy for Australia. The new Pact Group Holdings Ltd operated Circular Plastics Australia recycling facility in Laverton VIC is part of the solution with the capacity to process 20,000 tonnes of rigid plastic containers from household recycling bins, the equivalent of half a billion milk bottles every year. #recycling #Circulareconomy #packaging Pact Group Holdings Ltd Cleanaway Waste Management Sustainability Victoria Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Rabobank Australia DLL
