About us

Asahi Beverages is one of the leading beverage companies in Australia and New Zealand, producing an extensive range of alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. Our non-alcohol portfolio extends across soft drinks, mixers, mineral water, water, juice, tea, energy and sports drinks, with iconic and well-loved brands such as Schweppes, Cool Ridge and Pepsi. Our alcohol portfolio includes both local craft and international beers such as Asahi Super Dry and Peroni, as well as cider, ready-to-drink and spirits brands. Asahi Beverages formed in 2014 through the integration of the Schweppes Australia and Asahi Premium Beverages businesses in Australia and Independent Liquor in New Zealand. Our Group also includes The Better Drinks Co, a NZ based juice and organic soft drink business and craft brewer, Mountain Goat. We work in a category with rapidly changing consumer wants and needs, which fuels our entrepreneurial spirit and our thirst for category-growing innovation. Our company has grown enormously over the past decade, and as we continue to evolve, we’re looking for people who thrive on collaborating, connection and building high performing teams and who are agile, adventurous and always willing to jump in and give it their all. It’s an exciting time to join our company. We believe that with us, you’ll get the experiences you need to develop to the next stage of your career as together we build the Asahi Beverages and the beverages category of the future. Agricultural products are vital for humanity, but environmental risks like climate change can significantly impact the yields and quality of these essential materials, as well as the lives of farmers and their communities.   In Australia, we're teaming up with our partners in #agriculture to tackle these risks head-on, deepening our understanding and improving quality management. Our collaboration with Australian farmers spans years, during which we've supported their sustainable practices and directly purchased their barley. Our connection with farming partners and rural communities is crucial.   At Asahi Group, our commitment is to source agricultural products in a way that respects both the #environment and #humanrights. Through our 2030 roadmap and new targets, we're aiming to secure sustainable raw materials and address human rights risks in our supply chains.   Explore our new approaches to agricultural raw materials on page 77 of this report: https://lnkd.in/gWPXgdiN   #AsahiGroup #EnvironmentalVision #Sustainability

What an amazing night for the Asahi Beverages and Carlton & United Breweries teams, being recognised at the Australian Drinks Awards for the second year in a row as Supplier of the Year. Not only did the team win Supplier of the Year, but they also received the 2024 Category Management Award and eight brand awards. Showing up for customers in ways that matter is central to how we operate and so acknowledgement of our people through these Awards is incredibly humbling. Thank you to all our customers for your trust and partnership. Together we look forward to continuing to achieve great things. #GreatPartnerships #AustralianDrinksAwards

Yesterday, we announced in Armidale, NSW, a new Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with energy retailer Flow Power, moving us closer to our target of having 100% of our purchased electricity sourced from or offset by renewables by 2025.  The partnership was unveiled at the New England Solar Farm, which is the largest solar project in NSW and the equal-largest in the National Electricity Market. This deal to harness the New England sun helps provide certainty for securing long-term energy supply. Victoria Bitter is already brewed with 100% offset solar energy. The deal is our third PPA in Australia. It follows the installation of thousands of solar panels at our major breweries in Yatala, Queensland and Abbotsford in Melbourne to help produce some of Australia’s favourite beers. It was a great pleasure to welcome all our 2024 intake of Asahi graduates to Melbourne for our mid-year graduate event. As part of the cross-functional learning that the Asahi Graduate Program offers, the team had the opportunity to immerse themselves in sales and engage with our customers in the field. Their visit concluded with a tour of Abbotsford Brewery, where they learned about the brewing process from one of their peers who is currently based at Abbotsford. These events bring young people with diverse backgrounds and interests together to share experiences and build networks that many will carry forward throughout their careers. If you, or someone you know would like to know more about the 2025 Asahi Graduate Program, applications open soon! Drum roll please…and the Global Asahi 2024 AGP AWARDS Grand Prix winner is … the Circular Plastics Australia PET Team. The Asahi Beverages Circular Plastics Australia (CPA) PET Team was thrilled and humbled last week to receive global Asahi’s highest internal accolade, the AGP Awards Grand Prix Award. This was for their work partnering with Pact Group Holdings Ltd, Cleanaway Waste Management , Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Government to establish two PET recycling plants in Albury (NSW) and Altona (Vic) that aim to create a circular economy for PET bottles in Australia. Staged in Melbourne last week, this is the first time the AGP Awards have been held outside Japan, so it was especially exciting to have an Australian project crowned the overall winner this year.   Competing against nine outstanding projects from around the world, the CPA project stood out as the embodiment of the Asahi Group Philosophy (AGP) demonstrating ‘Challenge and Innovation’, Excellence in Quality’ and ‘Shared Inspiration’. Congratulations to the CPA team. The global AGP Grand Prix Award is fitting recognition for a world class team building a world class capability in Australia that will benefit future generations. Cascade - Standing Proud for 200 years! Politicians, brewery workers and business representatives gathered today at the beautiful Cascade Brewery to toast two centuries of endurance, innovation, and the spirit of Tasmania. The Pale Ale flowed as Cascade celebrated with live music, the cutting of a birthday cake and a toast to 200 years of Standing Proud. To mark this special occasion, our Asahi Beverages CEO, Amanda Sellers, was joined by Atsushi Katsuki, President and CEO of Asahi Group Holdings, and members of his team, together with Tasmanian Premier the Hon Jeremy Rockliff MP, the Leader of the Opposition the Hon Dean Winter MP and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Hobart, Councillor Dr Zelinda Sherlock as we celebrated Cascade’s journey from humble sawmill to Tasmanian icon and Australia’s oldest brewery. Cheers to our oldest and without a doubt, most beautiful brewery!
