"It will be like Mardi Gras in Tullamore tonight." - Leo O'Connor.

Captain Dan Bourke and manager Leo O'Connor both hailed Offaly's support as their 'sixteenth man' after their win over Tipperary.

“It’s something you dream of as a young lad,” Bourke said.

“To go out and play in front of this crowd, it’s unbelievable."

“It’s going to be one hell of a party in Tullamore," added manager Leo O'Connor.

"It will be like Mardi Gras in Tullamore tonight whatever time we get back there,” the manager said.

“It’s marvellous for the people of Offaly, without a shadow of a doubt they’re our sixteenth man,” he continued.

Offaly have done it.

After the pain of 2022, they have their All-Ireland. They were the better team as they seized the occasion and got the better of Tipperary. They have already invaded the pitch in Nowlan Park win after a famous win for the county.

Captain Dan Bourke led by example with 1-3 from play but they had heroes all over the field, with Ruairi Kelly, Adam Screeney and Colin Spain all catching the eye.
