It’s only days since the third phase of Cairnhill Meadows in Kilcullen was launched on to the market and already availability is limited. With the buyers of the first phase already in situ, it’s reassuring for interested parties to see the development come to life.

The range of houses on offer has meant that the scheme has been attracting all buyer types since its first release. Agent Austin Egan of Appleton Property says there is a good mix of first-time buyers, older families and retirees moving into Cairnhill Meadows.

House type A is a three-bed semi-detached type with a convertible attic and a floor space of 1,152sq ft, with prices starting at €410,000. Type B is a two-bed bungalow measuring 958sq ft and priced from €380,000. Lastly, House type C, a three-bed dormer is the largest at 1,496sq ft and the most expensive with prices from €460,000.

The elevated site provides homeowners with views of the Wicklow mountains and surrounding countryside. The block-built houses by KDM Construction stand proud with their stone and granite façades. The high-performance uPVC windows are a contemporary grey on the outside and white on the inside. The composite front door provides the best in both security and insulation.

Coming with an A-rating, each home will have an air-to-water heat pump, underfloor heating and a demand control ventilation system.

Inside, the bespoke kitchens come with a breakfast bar and quartz worktops. The utility room is also fitted with units and all bathrooms have high-quality sanitary ware and tiling. Attics in the three-bed semis have potential for future conversion if required, with preliminary works complete.

Outside, gardens are rolled and seeded, and driveways are paved, with a provision for an electric vehicle charging point at every property.

The low-density developments will have 54 homes in total on the seven-acre site. The fourth and final phase will have four-bed dormer homes for those who want to hold out for a bigger property.

The showhouse is open tomorrow from 11am to 1pm with Appleton Property (045) 482 759.
