The first phase at King’s Fort in Rathcormac has been launched and consists of 16 homes, which include three and four-bed semis and four-bed detached properties. When complete, there will be a total of 23 houses in the development that is 30km from Cork city.

The Kingston-built homes are A-rated and measure from 1,450 sq ft up to 1,924 sq ft, with prices starting at €350,000 and going up to €450,000. Kitchens will be fitted with bespoke units and bathroom sanitary ware and flooring throughout the houses is included. Each house will have a cobble-lock driveway to the front with parking for two cars.

Agent Shane Finn of DNG Creedon is keen to point out that the homes qualify for different schemes for buyers. “What we loved about this project is the affordability of these homes. Based on your options, on a purchase price of €350,000, you can remove up to 10pc with the First-Time Buyers’ Grant, which is €30,000, then 20pc for Shared Equity Scheme is €70,000, which that means you now have a mortgage value of €250,000.”

A new pathway links the village of Rathcormac to King’s Fort, which means the newly built primary school, park, shops and restaurants are all a safe, walk away. Contact DNG Creedon at (021) 489 7300.
