Fancy a s**t beer? Try these brews made from sewage, testicles and goat brains

Full Circle Pale Ale

Gary Law

A small craft brewer in the US state of Georgia has sold out of its latest beer, which it describes as an “eco-friendly lager made from highly repurposed and recycled water”. Nothing much unusual there, you might think. Indeed, no – except for the fact that the water used by Fox City Brewing Company to make their beer came from the local sewage system.

The brew was called Revival Lager – no doubt the brainstorming session to come up with a name was a bit of a laugh – and it was created in partnership with the company responsible for sewage treatment in the city of Forsyth to serve to delegates at a symposium on reusing waste water.
