I’m weaning lambs at the moment. I decided to begin weaning because grass growth in fields is poor and lambs are competing with ewes for the best grass.
Leaving lambs on ewes for too long can be counterproductive for both the lamb and the ewe. Lamb growth rates and ewe body condition can suffer.
