The final month before lambing is critical on any farm. For dairy or suckler farmers, pre-calving is one of the most talked-about areas to get nutrition right that really affects production and calf and cow health.

It is sometimes forgotten how important this time is for sheep too. Ewe nutrition during this period has a significant impact on lamb size, as 75pc of lamb growth occurs 6-7 weeks pre-lambing.
