Struggling sheep farmers yet to feel the benefits of falling supplies

Quotes unchanged on last week – and no better than 12 months ago

The reduction in sheep numbers being presented at exporting plants continues, with intake for the week ending November 12 down to 61,297 — a fall of 2,118 on the same week last year.

This drop is not benefitting farmers, though, with quotes for lamb unchanged this week, and generally no better than 12 months ago as Kildare Chilling lead the way on €6.50+10c/kg quality assurance
