While the wet weather has played hell over the Christmas period on those with sheep out doors, at least the new year has started on a positive note on the factory side.
Dawn Ballyhaunis and Kildare Chilling have improved their pre-Christmas quotes for lamb by 10c/kg to €6.55+10c/kg quality assurance and €6.60+10c/kg QA respectively, although the ICM group remain at €6.35+20c/kg QA.
