Lamb price poised to break €7/kg as Easter and Ramadan approach

With Easter Sunday on March 31 and Ramadan running from March 10 to April 8, sheep farmers are hoping that the trade will soon start improve significantly.

Joe Kinsella of Baltinglass mart said that with factories hungry for lamb, he expects €7.00/kg to be on the cards for hogget in short order, with the lamb trade opening well above that.
