For marts hosting their second sales of 2024 last week, factory lamb prices were up €3-5/hd, with forward stores rising by around €3/hd and cull ewes stronger by about €5/hd.

For those such as Ennis and Kilkenny who reopened yesterday, the trade overall was up €6-10/hd since before Christmas, with some better-presented stock better by €12/hd.
