John Fagan: Christmas sucks the life out of me — I’m glad it’s over… it goes on far too long

If it wasn’t for the sheep and my dogs, I’d disappear until the end of February at least

Christmas is thankfully over. I have always felt that it goes on way too long. I would happily disappear from Ireland from mid-November until Christmas week, drop in for the festivities and then get back out of the country until at least the end of February.

The only downside is that my flock wouldn’t be in great shape and my two border collies wouldn’t be too pleased either. Seriously, though, it sucks the life out of me — I’m glad it’s over. Call me the Grinch or whatever.
