Hogget quotes fall but spring lamb and cull ewes improve

For sheep farmers it was a case yesterday of the ‘Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away’ as quotes for cull ewes and spring lamb both rose but hogget fell by 20c/kg.
Asked why their factory was quoting less for hoggets, one rep replied: “The sheep business is a bit like bungee jumping: it goes up and down a lot.”
