Minister moves to provide clarity on impact of commonage turf cutting on ACRES payments

Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue has moved to provide clarity around the impact of turf cutting on commonage land in the ACRES scheme.
Under the ACRES scheme, farmers with commonage will only receive the full rates of payment if the entire commonage meets the required habitat management levels, which are based on a scorecard.
