Farmers set to finally receive delayed EU subsidy payments

Hundreds of millions of euros in EU farm subsidy payments will issue to farmers in the coming days.

Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue said last week that advance payments under the new Basic Income Support for Sustainability Scheme (BISS), which replaces the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS), will issue from today.
