The Straw Incorporation Measure (SIM) has been designed to encourage tillage farmers to increase soil organic carbon levels by chopping and incorporating straw from cereal crops and oilseed rape.
It is proposed that two training courses will be provided to farmers. The intervention will build on the support provided under the Straw Incorporation Measure pilot.
