Concerns have been raised that new entrants to farming may not be able to access the new ACRES scheme.

Some 46,000 farmers were accepted into the first tranche of the ACRES scheme earlier this year, while Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue recently confirmed the scheme would open again to new applications in the coming weeks.
